Timberwolves-Threshers Fight Nets 5-Game Suspensions Friday, May 1st , 2048 Today the league office handed out 5-game suspensions to Jonathan Jordan of the Timberwolves and Nick Dixon of the Threshers for their roles in a benches-clearing skirmish at Timberwolves Ballpark yesterday. The league commissioner said in the statement to both organizations, "This league does not condone fighting and aggressive conduct on the field, thus we had to take action to discourage this behavior in the future." Currently Jordan is batting .291 with 1 home run, 4 RBIs and 5 runs scored. For the season to date, Dixon has 1 save in 5 relief appearances with a 0-0 record and 1.84 ERA. |
