Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl
Sunday, May 3rd , 2048
If there wasn't a history between Ernest Walker of Kinsale and Juan Leon of Thousand Oaks, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 3 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.
"We're both really competitive," Walker said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."
This season, Walker has hit at a .373 clip with 12 RBIs, 2 home runs and 11 runs scored. He has played in 17 games.
This year, Leon has a 0-1 record with a 4.85 ERA in 2 starts.
