Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Lamons Tuesday, May 5th , 2048 The Kansas City Kings stopped the Portland Pickles, 4-3, and Matt Lamons collected a base hit yet again. The Kansas City left fielder finished with 1 hit to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Lamons told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Matt Lamons walked in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a sac fly in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. This season in 19 games, Lamons has hit at a .468 clip with 36 hits, 6 home runs, 27 RBIs and 14 runs scored. |
