Foster Gets 4-Game Suspension Tuesday, May 19th , 2048 Kevin Foster of the Copper Kings has been suspended by the league commissioner's office for 4 games for his animated argument with a home plate umpire in yesterday's contest with the Portland Pickles at Walker Stadium. In the heated confrontation the Reno catcher pointed to where the ball was and repeatedly pointed his finger in the ump's face and apparently made some contact. That's when he got ejected. Reached for comment on the suspension, Foster said, "I guess I'll have to learn how to not talk with my hands. They are a dangerous weapon according to the umpires." Foster is swinging at a .185 pace on the year with 5 home runs, 13 RBIs and 9 runs scored. He has played in 26 games. |
