Ho Chi Minh City's McInerney Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Sunday, August 18th , 2041 5 times is the charm -- at least for Jesse McInerney. The Ho Chi Minh City Tigers first baseman tore up the Nephi Threshers to the tune of 5 hits in 7 at-bats at Saigon Ballpark today. The offensive onslaught from McInerney powered the Tigers to a 11-10 win. "McInerney was a tough out today," Nephi manager Jeff Allport said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Jesse McInerney singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, doubled in the 9th, grounded out in the 11th, hit a solo-shot off Gabe Altabani in the 13th and walked in the 15th.
