League Suspends Macias and Alvarado for Brawl
Tuesday, August 27th , 2041
After an intense confrontation, both the Fisherman Gabriel Macias and the Tigers Juan Alvarado were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Kinsale-Ho Chi Minh City game. Gabriel Macias will miss 5 games, while Juan Alvarado was suspended for 6 games.

"Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Gabriel Macias commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play."

Macias has collected 77 hits for the Fisherman this year, 12 of them home runs. He has also netted 36 RBIs and scored 38 runs while batting .277.

This year Alvarado has fashioned a 6-7 mark, 3.26 ERA and pitched 124.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .200 against him and he has logged 159 strikeouts.
