Reno Loses James Webber, Will Miss Season Tuesday, May 18th , 2049 Reno left fielder James Webber could miss the remainder of the season because of bone chips in his elbow. He exited yesterday's Nephi game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Webber would be out 6 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that." In 22 games Webber is hitting .263 this season with 21 hits, 2 home runs, 3 RBIs, 2 walks, .298 OBP and has scored 9 runs. |
