20 Games in a Row for Neff Saturday, June 18th , 2050 Jerry Neff continued his streak at Threshers Ballpark, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Nephi center fielder was 2-for-5 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Threshers were not as fortunate, losing, 4-3, to the Phoenix Palisades. "Neff was hitting everything we threw at him," said Phoenix manager . "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame and we came away with a win." Jerry Neff singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Frank Blythe in the 9th. So far this year in 47 games, Neff is hitting .361 with 2 home runs, 27 RBIs and 26 runs scored. |
