Gleghorn Leads Portland to 8-0 Win Over Sarasota Tuesday, September 1st , 2048 Sam Gleghorn kept the Sarasota Sweeties hitters from doing much damage at Sweeties Ballpark. Sarasota could only muster 4 hits and draw no walks against the left-handed Gleghorn, who controlled them throughout the game. Portland won the contest, 8-0. Gleghorn added 9 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Gleghorn told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time." For the season, Gleghorn has produced 124 hits in 360 at-bats for a .344 average with 22 home runs and gotten on base at a .427 clip.
