Austin Moves on to Round 3 Thursday, October 8th , 2048 The Austin Toros and Philadelphia Avalanche didn't hold back anything in the Round 2, with each team pulling out all the stops in an effort to advance to the Round 3. Austin won the final game by a score of 1-0 at Avalanche Ballpark and that concluded the series, 4-3. "Relief is the biggest thing," Austin center fielder Bill Worsham said when asked how he felt. "It's a grind both mentally and physically to have a long series like this, but our guys stuck with it and Philadelphia deserves credit for the hard fight." Worsham paced the Austin offence and earned MVP honors. For the series, he hit .400 with a .556 on-base percentage, 2 home runs, 3 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Austin Toros will play against the Kansas City Kings in the next round. Kansas City won their series against the Portland Pickles 4 games to 3.
