Red-Hot Bat: Furtado Collects Cycle
Getting 4 hits is a good day by any measure, but when those include a single, double, triple and a home run -- that's something special. Tim Furtado's day was a special one.

The third baseman hit for the cycle to spark the St. Louis Archies to a 9-1 victory over the Buffalo Buffalo at The Greenhouse today. St. Louis manager Terry Schneekloth said he thought the whole lineup looked good in batting practice, but had not been expecting anything extraordinary from Furtado in particular.

"Tim caught me by surprise today," the skipper said. "He looked good before the game, but man, he looked unbelievable during it."

For the day, Furtado finished with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored to go with his 4 hits.

Tim Furtado grounded out in the 2nd, hit an RBI triple in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Dave Arteaga in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.

Thus far this season Furtado has hit .256 with 1 home run, 10 RBIs and scored 10 times.
