The Detroit Pizzas picked up a win at Brooklyn Coliseum, knocking off the Brooklyn Knights, 4-3. Starting pitcher Brad Riddick was a big reason why. Reliever Jeff Baker picked up the win. His record improves to 2-1. Adrian Ducote took the loss. The first-place Knights have lost 4 straight games.

Detroit used a timely hit from Pat Hamilton to get the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Pizzas ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"If we play well, we'll win our share of games," said Hamilton. "The only team that can beat us is us."
