Knights Improve to 46-23 with 4-1 Win
|
Mike Pentland pitched a gem to lead Brooklyn to victory over the San Antonio Aztecs, 4-1. The winning pitcher was Pentland, now 6-1. He tossed 6.2 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 8. Adrian Ducote earned the save, his 19th.
The Knights got a big at-bat from left fielder Peter Ochoa. For the game, Ochoa was 3 for 5 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 29th double of the season gave Brooklyn a 3-1 lead.
"It was a solid team effort," said Ochoa after the game.
Brooklyn has an impressive 46-23 record.
