Knights Tack 2-1 Loss on Kings
|
Sportsman's Park hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.
In a low-scoring clash between Brooklyn and Los Angeles, pitcher Mike Rodriguez was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned accolades in the 2-1 win. Rodriguez went 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 4, and struck out 7. His record improves to 8-3.
The Knights got a big at-bat from shortstop Paul Hull, who in the top of the second hit a run-scoring double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Knights on top, 2-0.
"We found a way to get it done," Rodriguez said.
The first-place Knights improved to 52-26.
