A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Brooklyn Knights and Buffalo Buffalo.
The Brooklyn Knights racked up a win at The Greenhouse, bumping off the Buffalo Buffalo, 5-2. Mike Pentland, who started for Brooklyn, pitched effectively for his team. Pentland, the winner, moves to 8-1. He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 1 walk.
Brooklyn right fielder Billy Jordan contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball into center field for a 2-run single. It was his 32nd hit of the season and put the Knights ahead, 4-0.
"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Pentland told the Brooklyn Observer.
Brooklyn's record now stands at 54-27, placing them first in the Alliance League Boneheads Division.
