Mark Powers propelled his team to victory over the Dublin Porters. The final score was 4-3, Kyiv. Kyiv reliever Jimmy Gold got the win, raising his record to 1-3. George Ritchie was tagged with the loss. The Porters drop to 4-9, as their fitful start to the 2049 campaign continues.

Up to bat in the bottom of the ninth, slugging first baseman William Melnick had a chance to be the hero. Dublin pitcher George Ritchie had other ideas. But with one out, Melnick drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Cossacks had themselves a dramatic win.

Melnick called the win a test of his team's "mettle."
