Dragon Warriors Prevail, 4-2, Over Brooklyn
|
Hanoi pitcher Nick Rennie had a large part in his team subduing the Brooklyn Knights, 4-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. The winning pitcher was Rennie, now 3-0. He tossed 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 12. The Dragon Warriors, now 11-5, have played some good baseball in the early going.
Danny Laines, who is rated as the 66th best prospect by BNN, came through for Hanoi with a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. The right fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 1 RBI.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Laines told the Hanoi Gazette.
