Yellowstone Nets 3-2 Win Versus Beavers
|
Beavers Park was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Yellowstone Super Volcano and Portland Beavers.
Ray Barber pitched well, but his team, the Portland Beavers, still dropped a 3-2 decision to the Yellowstone Super Volcano at Beavers Park. Carlos Castaneda, now 2-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. Ryan Podolsky closed it out for Yellowstone, earning his 5th save.
Yellowstone used a clutch hit from Andres Jaquez to get the win. The shortstop drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Super Volcano ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
"No time for posing," said Jaquez. "The next game will be here before you know it."
Yellowstone is now 11-4.
