Hyenas Win Nail-Biter
The East Haddam Hyenas picked up a win at Ballpark of East Haddam, knocking off the Hanoi Dragon Warriors, 2-1, in 15 innings. On the mound for East Haddam was right-hander Steve Ashcraft. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. The loss drops Hanoi to 10-7.

The decisive blow was delivered in the bottom of the 15th when Chris Little hit a solo home run off 26-year old left-handed pitcher Dan Bass to win the game for East Haddam. The home crowd went wild.

"We need to keep playing good baseball," Ashcraft told the East Haddam Observer.
