Kyiv pitcher Gilberto Rivera did his part in helping his team beat the Hanoi Dragon Warriors, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The Cossacks, at 13-4, have a record worth flaunting.

Tied up with the Dragon Warriors in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Cossacks got a boost from center fielder Nate Archer. With a runner on 2nd, Archer saw a first pitch sinker from Josh Cotton and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Kyiv on top, 4-3.

"I like the roll we're on right now," said Archer after the game.
