Dragon Warriors Collect 4-2 Win Over Beavers
|
Fans who congregated at Beavers Park were treated to extra-inning drama.
The Hanoi Dragon Warriors picked up a win at Beavers Park, dropping the Portland Beavers, 4-2, in 10 innings. Tony Ramos, who finished 3rd in the AL in wins with 15 in 2047, was the difference-maker. Noah Powell, who finished 5th in the AL in saves with 34 in 2038, earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0.
Hanoi used a timely hit from Danny Kelley to get the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Dragon Warriors ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Ramos said.
The Dragon Warriors, now 12-6, have been red hot.
