In a tight tilt between the Arizona Desert Storm and the Lansing Red Storm, Kevin Spencer was the deciding factor. The Arizona left-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Spencer, now 2-1, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. The save went to Terry Donohue, his 7th this season.

Arizona used the timely hitting of Su-yeong Lee to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Desert Storm on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

In postgame comments to the Arizona Daily, Spencer said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."

The Red Storm continue "in the red" at 7-12.
