Blueberry Bulldogs Get Past Kyiv, 4-3
Kyiv got a valiant performance from pitcher Mark Powers, but it wasn't enough to beat the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs. Sudbury won the game, 4-3. Powers threw 7.2 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Brett Richardson was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Jimmy Gold. The Cossacks fall to 9-11 and continue their uneven start to the 2049 season.

Albert Bencomo was the walk-off hero for Sudbury. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Blueberry Bulldogs left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Walking a team off at the end -- there's no greater feeling," said Bencomo.
