The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs picked up a win at Bulldogs Ballpark, downing the Lansing Red Storm, 1-0. On the mound for Sudbury was right-hander Willie Sevilla, who played a pivotal role in the win. Sudbury reliever Eric Barone was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Sergio Bahena. The Red Storm, now 7-12, continue their inauspicious start.

The Blueberry Bulldogs got a clutch hit from first baseman Josh Deere. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Blueberry Bulldogs.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Deere said in his postgame press conference.
