Godwin Swings Super Volcano to 7-4 Win
The Yellowstone Super Volcano defeated the Brooklyn Knights, 7-4, at Brooklyn Coliseum. Yellowstone was led by 22-year old center fielder Doug Godwin, who went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Fidel Nunez claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. His record stands at 2-0. Art Madsen recorded his 7th save for Yellowstone.

Godwin had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 2-1 curveball from Zion Anthony, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Super Volcano a 7-4 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Godwin.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Godwin.

The win takes Yellowstone to 13-12.
