Nadeau, Archies Scald Cossacks, 17-2
|
The St. Louis Archies outclassed the Kyiv Cossacks, 17-2, at Team2 Ballpark. Brian Nadeau, who finished 3rd in the FL in extra base hits with 75 in 2043, was a major contributor for St. Louis. Nadeau went 3-5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. St. Louis pitcher Justin Donahue got the win, upping his record to 1-1. Zachery DeShields got the loss. The Archies, now 18-9, have played some good baseball in the early going.
Pat Hamilton, who is tied for 6th in the FL in stolen bases with 4, contributed to the St. Louis win with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the first baseman had 3 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 5 runs batted in.
"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Archies manager Terry Schneekloth.
