Portland took on Yellowstone in front of a lively crowd.

Steve Thomas, who finished 4th in the AL in innings pitched with 224.2 in 2036, had a strong outing for the Portland Beavers against the Yellowstone Super Volcano at Beavers Park. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 5-2 win. With the win, Portland elevates its record to 14-13.

The Beavers had to work out of trouble in the top of the ninth. The score was 5-2, Portland, with two out. Yellowstone, with the bases loaded, was mounting a threat. Nate Horton dug in at the plate, but on a 1-2 changeup, he struck out.
