The Dublin Porters topped the Arizona Desert Storm, 9-7, at Desert Storm Stadium. Dublin shortstop Steve Barone was a spark plug for the offense. He went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2. Dublin reliever George Ritchie was the winner. His record is now 1-2. Ivan Chavez took the loss. Marco Pagan earned the save for Dublin, his 4th.

Jeremy Copeland came through with a big-time hit for Dublin. The second baseman smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 8-7. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Nice win for us," said Barone. "Now we'll go after the next one."

The loss drops Arizona to 14-15.
