Yellowstone Defeated By Beavers, 7-2

The Portland Beavers rode a solid performance from 31-year-old starting pitcher Victor Velasco to a win, beating the Yellowstone Super Volcano, 7-2, at Beavers Park. Portland reliever Victor Velasco picked up the win, while Jack Frick took the loss for Yellowstone. Matt Namie was credited with the save for Portland, his 1st of the season.
In the bottom of the sixth, Portland third baseman Marco Estrada put his team on top. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit his 7th double of the year. Yellowstone pitcher Jack Frick served it up. Just like that, the Beavers were ahead, 2-1.
"Victor's stuff looked really, really crisp," said GM admiralballtr8s, the Beavers manager.
The loss lowers the Yellowstone record to 15-14.
