Yellowstone wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Justin Kowalick, falling to the Portland Beavers, 1-0. Kowalick threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Portland is now 47-38, 6½ games up in the Alliance League Dimwits Division.

The Beavers got a big at-bat from right fielder Ethan Breaux. For the game, Breaux went 1 for 3 with a double. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 15th double of the season gave Portland a 1-0 lead.
