Fans watched the Hanoi Dragon Warriors and the Detroit Pizzas fight to the finish.

The Hanoi Dragon Warriors defeated the Detroit Pizzas, 8-7, at The Nest. Hanoi center fielder Scot Shearing had a superb performance. He was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 4 runs. Noah Powell picked up the save, his 24th.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Shearing delivered big-time for Hanoi, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Ken Standifer. The game-changing hit put the Dragon Warriors on top, 6-5.

"You can't hate how you win if you win," said Hanoi skipper GM Schnee.
