In a tight contest at Team2 Ballpark, the St. Louis Archies edged the Memphis Chicks by the score of 5-4. St. Louis right fielder Marcos Nevarez, who blasted 2 home runs, was a key contributor. The Federation League Birdbrains Division-leading Archies are 54-32.

Albert Salgado went 2 for 4 with a double and a walk for St. Louis. With two out and the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, Salgado, who is tied for 3rd in the FL with a .328 batting average, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Memphis hurler Matt Schille, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Archies a 5-4 lead.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Memphis manager Aaron Lazier.
