Super Volcano Win Squeaker, 5-4, Over Buffalo
|
The Yellowstone Super Volcano picked up a win at Volcano Ballpark, knocking off the Buffalo Buffalo, 5-4. Starting pitcher Jack Frick played a key role in the triumph. The second-place Super Volcano hiked their record to 42-47.
Had Pedro Gonzalez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Gonzalez hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Super Volcano.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Gonzalez said.
