Howland Slugs Pizzas to 10-6 Win
Curtis Howland left his imprint on the 10-6 Detroit win against the Yellowstone Super Volcano. Howland went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. With the win, Detroit upped its record to 47-43.

Detroit first baseman Jay Naylor contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a slider to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 96th hit of the season and put the Pizzas ahead, 3-1.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Howland. "And not try to do too much."
