Yinzers Beat Buffalo, 2-1

In a low-scoring contest between the Pittsburgh Yinzers and the Buffalo Buffalo, Brent Page was the X factor. The Pittsburgh right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Pittsburgh reliever Alex Bacio snagged the win, upping his record to 8-4. Josh Pierce shouldered the loss. With the win, the Yinzers have a record of 45-45.
The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Danny Gutierrez came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Buffalo pitcher Josh Pierce, he hit a 1-0 sinker for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Pittsburgh on top, 2-1.
"We had the right guys up at the right times," said Buffalo manager Jim Punk42ae. "We just didn't cash in."
