|
The Buffalo Buffalo stopped the Detroit Pizzas, 6-5, at Pizzas Ballpark. The Buffalo got a big game from Tyler Steele, who was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Buffalo reliever Eric Thompson was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Ken Standifer took the loss. The loss makes Detroit 50-46.
Emilio Nin came through with a big-time hit for Buffalo. The third baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 6-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Steele, "and then get after it again."
