The East Haddam Hyenas and starting pitcher Efrain Sanchez stifled the Los Angeles offense en route to a comfortable 9-1 win at Ballpark of East Haddam. The Hyenas, at 44-57, sit in last place in the Federation League Knuckleheads Division.

The Hyenas got a big hit from first baseman Vladsislas Wanzha. Facing Los Angeles pitcher Dave Reed in the bottom of the sixth, Wanzha pounded a 3-run home run to left. His 18th home run of the season put the Hyenas ahead, 9-1.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Wanzha.
