The Pittsburgh Yinzers defeated the Los Angeles Kings, 7-5. Doing his part was right fielder Luke Spradley, who was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Alex Bacio, now 9-4, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. Bob Currell got the save, his 14th in 17 chances.
Spradley had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a first pitch fastball from Omari Johnson, he banged a 3-run home run to center, giving the Yinzers a 7-5 lead. It was the 12th home run of the year for Spradley.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Yinzers manager GM Koty.
At 48-52, the Yinzers find themselves in third place in the Alliance League Dimwits Division.
