Sykes Slugs Knights to 5-3 Win
The performance of Dave Sykes proved critical in helping Brooklyn beat Hanoi, 5-3. The Knights first baseman hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Brooklyn is now 29-9, 7½ games up in the Alliance League Boneheads Division.

Sykes contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Brooklyn in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, Sykes took a cutter from Matt Gaze and stroked the home run to right. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Knights to leap in front, 4-3.

"It feels good to get this one," Sykes told the Brooklyn Observer.
