Wayfinders Win 3-2 Nail-Biter Versus Beavers
Waikiki Wayfinders starter Jon Flint pitched his team past the Portland Beavers in 12 innings, 3-2. Waikiki reliever Alfredo Barahona was the winner. His record is now 3-0. The losing pitcher was Andy Buhrke. Waikiki goes to 42-60, Portland to 52-50.

Up to bat in the bottom of the 12th, 27-year old catcher Juan Sanchez had a chance to be the hero. Portland pitcher Andy Buhrke had other ideas. But with one out, Sanchez hit a sacrifice fly. The Wayfinders had themselves a dramatic win.

"Jon gets on the mound and he competes and that's what you want," said Waikiki manager GM Yokotuna.
