Aztecs Defeat Empire, 6-3
|
Aztecs first baseman Jonathan Bloom put his stamp on his team's 6-3 win over the New York Empire. Bloom went 3 for 6 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for San Antonio in the contest. New York's current losing streak is now 4 games.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With two out, Bloom hit a cutter from Jonathan Whittaker for a 3-run home run. The Aztecs, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"This wasn't a good win," said Bloom. "It was a great win."
