Kings Rally to Nose Past Buffalo
|
The Los Angeles Kings had to overcome a big game from Buffalo pitcher Sam Gleghorn to leave Sportsman's Park with a victory. And they did, winning, 3-2, in 10 innings. Gleghorn threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The win went to Eric Barone in relief. His record improves to 2-9. Danny Rutledge took the loss. Los Angeles now sits at 36-69, while Buffalo falls to 51-55.
The decisive blow was delivered by Lugh Hughes in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off fan favorite Danny Rutledge to win the game for Los Angeles. The home crowd went nuts.
"This place was jumping at the end," Hughes said.
