Sportsman's Park was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Los Angeles Kings and San Antonio Aztecs.

Los Angeles Kings left-hander Oren Murry pitched a good game against the San Antonio Aztecs at Sportsman's Park, leading his team to victory, 4-3. Murry went the distance for Los Angeles. He gave up 3 runs on 4 hits.
