The Portland Beavers picked up a win at Beavers Park, knocking off the Yellowstone Super Volcano, 5-4. Starting pitcher Chris Duffy played a key role in the triumph. Andy Buhrke earned the save for Portland, his 24th of the year. After today's action, Portland sits at 55-51; Yellowstone slips to 56-49.

Portland took a 5-4 lead on Luke Spradley's 24th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Spradley hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Yellowstone pitcher Adam Nunez visibly frustrated.
