Yellowstone Sent Home with 3-1 Loss
|
Portland pitcher Victor Velasco did his part in helping his team beat the Yellowstone Super Volcano, 3-1. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Andy Buhrke recorded the save, making him 25 for 28. With this game in the books, Portland is 56-51, Yellowstone 56-50.
Oscar Hernandez went 1-3 for Portland. The two-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Art Madsen. It was his 33rd RBI of the season.
"I'm just trying to make sure I'm focused for each and every pitch," said Velasco.
