Behind a fine performance from Jim Stanton, the St. Louis Archies knocked off the Osaka Takoyaki, 8-5. Stanton went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Archies. With the win, St. Louis pushed its record to 66-41.

In the bottom of the second inning, left fielder Dan Sims had a 3-run home run for St. Louis. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Archies on top, 5-2.
