Dublin designated hitter Gary Hilbert had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Hilbert belted 2 home runs, even as Sudbury beat the Porters, 5-4. Matt Wesberry went 6 innings for Sudbury to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs. He scattered 8 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 7. His record improves to 7-10. Sudbury is now 56-52, while Dublin is 51-57.

Sudbury catcher Adrian Silvester contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a changeup to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 55th hit of the season and put the Blueberry Bulldogs ahead, 5-3.

"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Sudbury manager Coach John.
