Macias Leads Charge, Dublin Blasts Hyenas
The timely hitting of Gabriel Macias helped the Dublin Porters down the East Haddam Hyenas, 13-3. Macias went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 2 for the Porters. Ben Verville got credit for the win, improving to 9-4. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits in 6.2 innings. The defeat makes East Haddam 43-66.

Peter Thompson had a big 3-run home run for the Porters in the bottom of the first inning. With Dublin leading 2-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he sized up a sinker from 25-year old left-handed pitcher Efrain Sanchez and punished it. The result was his 23rd home run of the season, which put the Porters on top, 5-0.

"It never gets old," said Macias. "Winning, that is."
