Takoyaki Rally to Eke Out Win
|
The Osaka Takoyaki topped the Waikiki Wayfinders, 3-2, at Takoyaki Park. Osaka left fielder Sam Clark was a spark plug for the offense. He was 4 for 5 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. Reliever Ben Bosley picked up the win. His record improves to 6-8. Geoff Seitz, who finished 2nd in the AL in wins with 16 in 2044, took the loss. The Takoyaki improved their record to 48-62 by beating Waikiki.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With two out, Clark hit a slider from Geoff Seitz for a solo home run. The Takoyaki, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Clark.
