Pitcher Mario Martinez was sensational for the Arizona Desert Storm in his team's 5-1 triumph over the Dublin Porters. Martinez earned the win. The Desert Storm, at 55-56, have now won 5 straight.

The Porters had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Desert Storm going into the top of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old left fielder Eddie Garcia came to the plate. Garcia hit a 2-run double on a 1-2 fastball from Dublin hurler Juan Gonzalez. It was Garcia's 24th double of the year.

"I made good pitches, kept the ball out of the middle of the plate for the most part," said Martinez.
